Founded in 2025 by Mike Crawford after retiring from a successful 35-year career as a CPA and partner at a top-10 national accounting firm, The Thinking Chair is a ministry-meets-media hub. It’s a place where spiritual seekers, skeptics, lifelong believers, and everyone in between can ask the hard questions and actually wrestle with the answers— without being talked down to or shoved into a theological box.

After 35 years in the corporate world as a CPA & partner at one of the largest accounting firms in the country, Mike walked away from the boardroom— not because he had to, but because he felt called. Retirement didn’t mean rest. It meant repurposing. And instead of chasing hobbies, he chose to chase after Kingdom impact.
The Thinking Chair started with a simple conviction: that faith shouldn’t feel distant, academic, or reserved for theologians. Mike’s heart beats for making the gospel approachable— without watering it down. He’s not a pastor. He’s not a Bible scholar. But he’s a man who’s been changed by Jesus & can’t help but talk about it.
This space isn’t about scripted sermons or theological lectures. It’s about pulling up a chair & starting a conversation, one that just might lead to something deeper, something truer, and something eternally significant.
